Focused on what matters

Our work often supports organizations navigating complex and sensitive topics.

Each customized training program will target real-world challenges, equipping participants with practical skills and strategies they can apply immediately.

Our work usually centres on the following areas:

  • Workplace conduct and professional boundaries
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Supporting vulnerable individuals and communities
  • Communication and decision-making in complex situations
  • Volunteer development
  • Internal investigations
  • Community needs assessments
  • Organizational assessments

More than a training package

We don’t measure a successful project by whether the materials are complete. We look at whether the learning meets its intended purpose and whether people can use what they’ve learned.

Depending on your goals, that might mean staff who feel more confident navigating difficult conversations, facilitators who are equipped to continue delivering the program, or learners who can apply new knowledge in their work and daily lives.

We build the learning, resources, and delivery approach around those outcomes from the beginning, so the finished program is ready to work in the real world.

A proven framework applied with flexibility

We use the ADDIE framework as a starting point for our training design process. Its focus on analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation provides a strong foundation for creating learning that is purposeful and aligned with the needs of both the organization and its learners.

We don’t treat ADDIE as a rigid, step-by-step process. Learning needs change, new information emerges, and feedback can reveal opportunities to strengthen a program while it is being developed or delivered. We use the core principles of ADDIE alongside agile approaches, allowing us to test ideas, gather feedback, refine content, and respond to what we learn throughout the project.

This flexible approach helps us balance structure with responsiveness. It gives projects a clear direction while leaving room to adapt the learning experience as we gain a better understanding of the learners, the content, and the environment in which the training will be used.

Analysis

We begin by understanding your organization, your learners, and the challenges you want to address. This involves reviewing existing materials, speaking with stakeholders, and exploring gaps in knowledge or practice. By uncovering the real needs of your team, we make sure the training focuses on issues that matter, rather than assumptions.

Design

We define clear learning objectives and create a structure that supports skill development in ways that resonate with learners. Our approach is informed by trauma-aware practices, adult learning principles, and instructional strategies that balance knowledge, reflection, and practical application. By using scenario-based learning and real-world examples, we make sure participants can connect ideas to their own experiences and develop skills they can use immediately.

Development

We bring the program to life with content, tools, and exercises that reflect the realities your team faces. Every element is crafted to be practical, accessible, and ready to support both learning and delivery. Materials are developed with accessibility standards in mind (WCAG guidelines and SCORM compliance). We also create facilitator guides and supporting resources to help deliver sessions consistently and effectively.

Implementation

We support delivery through facilitation, eLearning, or a blended approach, depending on your team’s needs and capacity. Facilitated sessions focus on discussion, practice, and application, while eLearning modules provide flexible, self-directed learning. When blended, participants can build foundational knowledge independently and then practice skills in guided sessions. The goal is to make the learning experience seamless, engaging, and immediately useful.

Evaluation

We measure how well the training achieves your objectives and identify opportunities for improvement. This can include participant feedback, facilitator observations, and outcome-based metrics that show whether the learning is being applied effectively. Evaluation helps ensure the training stays relevant and effective over time, supporting continuous improvement in both learning and practice.

The right format for the learning

We tailor the training delivery to your team’s needs, so the learning experience is effective and meaningful.

Facilitated training

Facilitated sessions create space for learners to explore ideas, ask questions, work through realistic situations, and practise applying what they’ve learned. Sessions can be delivered in person or virtually and can be structured around discussion, case studies, activities, reflection, and hands-on practice.

eLearning

eLearning provides an accessible way to build foundational knowledge and introduce key concepts before learners move into application. Self-paced modules allow learners to work through content at their own pace and revisit key information when they need a refresher. Interactive activities, knowledge checks, scenarios, and other digital learning elements can be incorporated to support engagement and retention.

Blended learning

Blended learning combines the strengths of self-paced and facilitated learning. Learners can build foundational knowledge through eLearning before coming together to discuss, practise, and apply what they’ve learned. This approach allows facilitated time to focus on deeper learning and real-world application, while giving participants the flexibility to engage with core content independently.

How does our work translate into real results?

We designed and deliver a trauma-informed employment program that supports participants in building confidence, stability, and readiness for work.

Looking to create a custom training program?

Training should do more than share information. We’ll work with you to design custom training that reflects your context, challenges, and goals.
